From The Frank Lombard School Of Parental Love: Father accused of forcing his 8- and 9-year-old daughters to watch hard-core pornography.
Randall County District Attorney James Farren said Monday that hisoffice filed two complaints against the Amarillo man after he allegedlyshowed the girls pornography.
Police reported the incident to Farren's office in June last year afterone of the daughters told a counselor that her father made them watchadults have group sex and performed other acts online in his home,Farren said.
But the public indecency law prevents the prosecution of parents whoshow their children pornography.
The law was apparently meant to protect the privacy of parents whowanted to teach their children about sex, and states that parents can'tbe prosecuted for showing "harmful material" to their children.
Farren said according to the Texas penal code "harmful material" such aspornography is considered defensible from prosecution if it is shown toa minor who was accompanied by a consenting parent.
The girls' parents are divorced and share custody. The girls' motherwants her ex-husband to be jailed.
