North Carolina "Progressives" claim conservative dishonesty on health care


From the last 24 hours comes a fairly shocking example of dishonesty by a right-wing health care commentator. These days, it takes a lot to surprise me about how far conservatives will go to distort the facts on health care — but this rises to that level, and indeed exceeds it.

Progressive writer Jonathan Chait and the National Review’s Jeffrey H. Anderson got into a dust-up over whether the Obama administration was diminishing physician compensation to pay for its Affordable Care Act.

Anderson found a letter from the Congressional Budget Office to Harry Reid that he used as evidence for his point.
