Memorial service held for 7-year-old girl killed in fire

The Chapel Hill Fire Department has released the name of the 7-year-old girl who was killed in a condominium fire Saturday.

The girl, Asiedya Elizabeth Clement, was killed after fire broke out from a mechanical malfunction of a freezer on the back porch of the condominium at 217 Schultz St., in the Kensington Trace complex off Weaver Dairy Road.

A memorial service for Asiedya will be held Saturday at the Chapel Hill Bible Church, 260 Erwin Road, at 1p.m. A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m.

    We have been house neighbors of the Clements' family in Kensington Trace, and saw this hell fire by own eyes...
