Bolin Creek Blackout: Cops Silent On The Death Of Sgt. Shane Scott Pease And Drew Christopher Frasure

CHAPEL HILL - Police released no new information Monday on the weekend shooting death of a 41-year-old Chapel Hill man.

Officers found Drew Christopher Frasure dead from a gunshot wound at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at his home at 119-A Ashley Forest Drive.

The shooting did not appear to be self-inflicted, and the incident did not appear to have been a random act, police spokesman Lt. Kevin Gunter said.

The shooting is the second unexplained death in Chapel Hill in the past three weeks.

Police said they also have no new information to release on the man found dead Nov. 19 in Bolin Creek.

Sgt. Shane Scott Pease, of A2652 Bigler St. at Fort Bragg, was discovered by a jogger around 9 a.m., lying in the creek just north of the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Hillsborough Street.

Thank you for this info. I am the sister of Drew Frasure. We are very frustrated as the Chapel Hill police have told us very little. We find out more info from the media than the police.I was unaware of the other unsolved death 3 weeks ago. Do they not have any leads in that case either?? Is it because these victims are NOT college students??In the Herald Sun on Monday, they made a point to let people know he wasn't a student...they don't want to scare those parents of college students. My brother lived 500 ft from Martin Luther King Blvd. It seems everyone gets speeding tickets on that road, so if your a murderer and not speeding, you can get away.......
